This year has brought about many exciting changes for Map the System.
Map the System has experienced a dynamic excitement this year, expanding to 20 participating institutions with a vigorous enrollment of 774 students. The much-anticipated event, Canada Final 2024, will unfold at the Bella Concert Hall at Mount Royal University in Calgary, boasting a 513-seat capacity, with an estimated 255 attendees slated to be in the audience.
Enhancements in Accessibility and Tech
Embracing technology further, the event will be live-streamed on YouTube, simplifying access by eliminating the need for complex registration processes. This marks a significant shift from the previous Zoom live events, which in 2023, engaged 87 virtual participants.
Program Highlights and Academic Competition
Six exceptional Canadian teams will present their research, the culmination of their dedication since January 2024, having successfully competed in campus-level competitions. Awaiting them in May is expert coaching to hone their presentations. The event will also feature insightful speeches from industry notables, a local artist's performance, and a research showcase at the Riddell Library and Learning Centre – conveniently located adjacent to the Bella Concert Hall.
